WHY OUR PARTNERS PARTNER WITH US
Throughout October 2024, Maidenhead United Football Club recognised the importance of our valued Partners. We said thank you to everyone who helps us thrive both on and off the pitch, allowing us to continue our work within the community while supporting our partnership with the Campaign Against Living Miserably.
Discover why our Partners chose to support Maidenhead United by reading their stories below. Each testimonial sheds light on the shared values, goals, and community impact that unite us in partnership. Together, we are UNITED AS ONE.
CALM Partners
The Maidenhead Advertiser and Maidenhead United Football Club have been at the heart of the community since the late 1800’s through to the present day. It is our respective roles in the community that make our partnership such a natural and mutually beneficial one. Having the community at our heart is why it was easy to support MUFC with its Campaign Against Living Miserably as well as the many other community support initiatives.
Maidenhead United are so much more than a football club – they provide valuable and wide-ranging support to the community we live within. Whether that be sports-related coaching to children or wider charitable activities for adults, MUFC are (and have long been) happy to stand up to the challenge.
When they approached myHRdept for support with an HR project, we decided that we wanted to go further than provide professional HR services … we wanted to become an active part of the club.
We’re in our 24th year of providing outsourced HR support and HR outsourcing services to employers across the region, and our second year supporting the team at Maidenhead United, on and off the pitch. We look forward to many more!
At Off The Tap, we’re excited to join forces with CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and Maidenhead United because, let’s face it, mental health is no joke - but we can make talking about it a lot less awkward! We’re all about breaking the stigma and getting people to open up, whether over a pint or at the match. Through fun events, exciting campaigns, and a dash of good humour, we’re here to support our community and remind everyone that it’s okay to not be okay. So, let’s raise a glass (and our voices) for mental health - because together, we can make a difference!
The Shanly Foundation has supported Maidenhead United over many years on ad-hoc events and projects. When the opportunity to support the club’s partnership with CALM came up, we were proud to join other local businesses in uniting against suicide. Maidenhead United is a cornerstone of the community, bringing people together through their love of sport, and it is an excellent platform to promote the amazing work of CALM. The Shanly Foundation is the charitable arm of the Shanly Group of companies.
Sport has a big role to play in the community, not just in bringing people together but in the positive benefits it can have on both physical and mental health. Recognition of these shared beliefs – alongside a love of football – was what led to the connection between the Club and Wilson Partners. Maidenhead is where is all started for us and with the firm and the club sharing a passion for improving the lives of those in the local community, the relationship has developed and strengthened over a number of years. Because of this shared focus and values, Wilson Partners is Maidenhead United FC’s Accountancy Partner and supports a number of the Club’s community efforts.
Wilson Partners is one of the fastest growing accounting firms in the South of England, employing over 275 staff across multiple locations. We are a champion of SME businesses and exist to help those businesses and their stakeholders make better business decisions.

As a fellow pillar of the local economy and wider community, Equity have partnered with Maidenhead United for a number of years. We have been involved in several initiatives over that period including the creation of a free community hotline during the pandemic, which allowed vulnerable people in the local area to access vital support. However, the common thread has been our involvement with the many youth teams, who we’ve been delighted to support through various kit and event sponsorships.
As a business who pride ourselves on our local roots, integrity, and family ethos, it’s essential to us to partner with likeminded organisations. The difference Maidenhead United make to the local community, particularly to the lives of young people, coupled with the family friendly atmosphere of the club, means this is an association we are really proud of.
With many local organisations and businesses already being happy customers of ours, we’re keen to take the pain of your IT away and allow your organisation to focus on what it does best. So, regardless of your current size or where you are on your technology journey, creating a tailored approach to your organisation’s IT strategy is what we’re here to do. Whether you are experiencing maintenance nightmares with aging technology, teething problems with a new system, or simply know that your inefficient set-up is slowing your business down, we are here to help.

Fast Lane became involved with Maidenhead United Football Club as a part of our "Giving Back" strategy. As a business, we were seeking a partnership with a local business/charity that we could engage with to help make a difference in people's lives. It also needed to be meaningful to our employees, and something they could be passionate about.
Under this mandate, through the club's “United as One” banner and ethos of championing well-being for all, we felt Maidenhead United offered a perfect partnership fit for Fast Lane.
As an IT Education business, we have previously run focused campaigns under the banner of “Women in Tech”, therefore through our initial discussions with the club, it seemed logical for us to commence our partnership as the main sponsors for the women's section. We then also transitioned into supporting CALM - Campaign Against Living Miserably, a fantastic charity focused on suicide prevention to help people end their misery, not their lives.
Fast Lane is a global IT Education provider for large technology providers such as Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, and Google. We aim to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge to innovate, deliver results, and advance their careers. Whilst also, supporting organisations of all sizes to achieve their digital and cloud goals. As a local, high-street business, we value our relationships with businesses and organisations in Maidenhead. Together, we can help our local community thrive. So, when we approached Maidenhead United about our idea for a Boot Exchange, to recycle and reuse football boots and help children in the area keep playing the sport they love, they were all for it!
The cost-of-living crisis has had a massive strain on everyone’s wallets, and our Boot Exchange aims to help parents and carers keep up with kids’ ever-growing feet, without breaking the bank. Maidenhead United were kind enough to donate boots from across the Youth Teams, to kickstart our scheme.
We have now had over 50 pairs of football boots donated, given away over 20 pairs and swapped at least 10 pairs of boots. So far, that means at least 30 children can now play football where they previously may not have been able to.
Our Boot Exchange with Maidenhead United has led to even more community-focused initiatives, including our Christmas FoodShare collection. We look forward to working with everyone at Maidenhead United on future projects for the good of our town.
We’re incredibly proud to be working together as a force for good in our community. Together, we are helping local families with a fun and sustainable scheme that makes sure everyone who wants to play football can get out on the pitch and be United as One!

I joined the club through Stripes bar and their fantastic team, who recommended me. Since then, it’s been a flourishing partnership. The club is a place where everyone matters, working together to create positive experiences for all. This collaboration helps all businesses involved with the club to grow, and we truly support each other. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, and I look forward to every match! I provide cakes and cookies for the Devonshire Suite at every home game. Recently, I’ve been trialling my cookies at the Tea Bars, and we’ve received very positive feedback from some lovely new customers! You can find me on Instagram and Facebook @rosieposiebakess.
