Maidenhead United's Berks & Bucks Senior Cup campaign starts in earnest on Wednesday 15th October with a trip to West Berkshire to face AFC Aldermaston. The Atoms play their home fixtures at The Mettal Stadium, home of Thatcham Town FC, RG19 4PA. The match will kick off at 7:45pm.
Admission Prices are as follows:
Adults: £7.00
Concessions: £5.00
Cash or Card can be accepted at the Turnstile for admission. The refreshments hut on pitch-side is Cash Only and within the club house bar drinks can be paid by Cash or Card.
Please note The Atoms matchday programme will be available as an online copy and can be viewed on the AFC Aldermaston club website . The club also hand out a one-page leaflet at the turnstile to spectators.
Other than pre-season matches, United have only visited Waterside Park once before, in a BBFA Cup tie in 2010 which resulted in a 4-2 success. We have never faced AFC Aldermston - formed in 1952 - before. The hosts play their league football in Step 6, Division 1 of the Wessex Football League where at the time of writing they find themselves in 20th place of 22 teams having won one of their eight games this season and they have games in hand on all the teams around them. The Atoms defeated Langley 2-1 last month to set up this tie.
Meanwhile, with Maidenhead out of action this coming weekend due to FA Cup fixtures taking priority, Alan Devonshire may see this fixture as an opportunity to give such much-needed game time to some of his fringe players.
