Club Chairman Statement - Supporters Meeting
Posted on 26th November 2024
Following the sale of Maximilian Kilman from Wolverhampton Wanderers to West Ham United over the summer, I promised an open meeting with supporters discuss the implications of the income we are receiving from the associated sell on clause and the future of the club.
I fully appreciate an update is well overdue and am grateful for the patience which supporters have shown in the intervening period. There is no doubt that transfer fee we are receiving because of Max’s sale was an important outcome for the club, particularly given the disappointment and uncertainty created by the decision made by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead councillors to withdraw their support for our proposed ground move. Our challenge remains, however, to make sure we make the right decisions to secure the long-term future and benefit of the club for all, which I do not take lightly.
I am pleased to be able to invite all supporters to Stripes Sports Bar on Wednesday, 11th December to receive an update from myself and CEO Jon Adams, commencing at 7pm.
I thank you for your loyal, continued support of Maidenhead United, and hope you will be able to join us in just over two weeks as we look towards the future of our football club.
