Oldfield Primary School U11 girls' football team, who represented Maidenhead United in this year’s National League Trust U11 Cup, made history earlier this month by reaching the Southern Finals for the very first time.

This incredible achievement marked the furthest any Maidenhead United team has ever progressed in the primary school tournaments.

The NLT U11 Cup is a six-a-side competition for primary school teams, with all National League clubs invited to take part. Schools from across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead compete to be Maidenhead United's representatives for the regional tournaments, where they face off against other clubs within the National League system. Over 1,000 schools take part each year, each vying to represent more than 50 clubs.

Braving a few nerves at Arbour Park, the girls displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination throughout the competition, and their hard work truly paid off. Although they were narrowly lost the Southern Final, the girls competed fantastically, and we couldn't be prouder of our talented players and history makers.
