Maidenhead United are delighted to confirm that the club have exercised an option in Jayden Mitchell-Lawson’s contract to retain his services for next season.

Jayden joined Maidenhead in 2023 and has gone on to make 92 appearances in black and white, scoring five times. His contributions to the team are unquestionable both on the flanks and in his newly adopted role as a wingback.

His involvements this season have been largely in crucial moments. Memorably his first goal of the season, and first since returning from long-term injury, saw him secure our first three points of the season against Horsham.

He then grabbed his second of the season to secure a statement victory over then table toppers Hornchurch. After going close just minutes prior, he made no mistake the second time round finding the bottom corner from 20-yards and sending the Bell Street End into raptures.

It will also be fresh in Magpies fans the contribution Jayden made to the turnaround on Easter Monday as he was taken down for the spot kick before pressing relentlessly to win the ball and square to Umerah to secure the win.

Relentless running is Jayden’s forte, putting in hard yards both offensively and defensively not only to regain possession but to see his side progress forward as well.

Following the announcement, Ryan Peters said: “I am delighted we are able to add Mitch to our retained boys for next year. He has made that right side his own over the last few seasons, putting in some very impressive displays. His attributes are frighteningly good and accompanied with his drive to improve, makes him a player that will be even better next season.”
