Maidenhead United are delighted to announce that Jordi van Stappershoef has signed a contract extension with the club.

Jordi joined last summer as part of a massive overhaul of the squad, a squad in which he has remained number one since.

Our big Dutchman has featured 36 times already this campaign across all competitions, keeping an impressive 12 clean sheets in that time. Jordi has come up with some pivotal saves in many fixtures this season, including the last-minute stop at Tonbridge Angels before launching the attack from which Matt Robinson scored. Following that up with a handful of crucial blocks against Torquay United to ensure we made the 190-mile trip home with a point - just to name a few.

Crucial stops have earned him recognition from the management staff, Magpies fans and an appearance in the Enterprise National League South Team of the Week following a shutout away to Hemel Hempstead in late December.

Following the contract extension, Ryan Peters said: “Jordi has been a breath of fresh air since joining us. He brings an air of professionalism and positivity to this talented group. He is low maintenance, never misses training or games and is incredibly reliable.

"I am over the moon that he has chosen to stay on with us as I truly believe he is the best in the league."
