Maidenhead United are delighted to announce that Jordon Ragguette has signed a contract extension with the club.
The creative fullback joined last summer and has since appeared 33 times in a United shirt. Featuring on the left side of a United defence with a defensive record that speaks for itself, Jordon provides stability in his own third and attacking ideas in the final one.
A constant threat down the flanks, Jordon has registered three assists this campaign – regularly feeding deliveries into the corridor of uncertainty. His first came against Bath City, providing a tempting cross into Josh Popoola’s path for him to simply slide home.
Following that with another contribution on the road, as his foray into the area at Totton was cut short when he was scythed down. Josh Umerah profiting this time as he thundered the spot kick into the middle of the net.
His driving runs caused problems again when we welcomed Hornchurch to York Road, he broke forward late on and was provider for Jayden Mitchell-Lawson who found the far corner and wrapped up three points in front of the Bell Street End.
Despite being yet to register his first United goal, Jordon’s efforts haven’t been in vain. Often trying his luck from range, he has had a fair few keepers worried this season with venomous strikes heading for the top corner or flying narrowly passed the post.
Manager Ryan Peters said: “Jordon is a fantastic individual - quiet, unassuming and dedicated. He has developed immensely over the season and I believe there is still so much more to come from him. His ability and attributes are frightening and coupled with his relentless drive to be the best, means he will be a force to be reckoned with down the left hand side.”
