Coventry City midfielder Kai Yearn has signed a short-term deal with Maidenhead United.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who came through the ranks at Cambridge United, becoming the club’s youngest ever goal scorer in an EFL Trophy tie against Oxford United in August 2021, joins the Magpies on loan until January 2026.
Following loan spells with Chelmsford City and King’s Lynn during his time at Cambridge, the former England youth international signed for Coventry City in 2024.
“I’m really excited to be to be here,” said Yearn upon joining the Magpies. “I think it’s a good opportunity to come out and get some games, get some proper minutes in and hopefully have a good impact to the team.”
Asked on his style of play and what United supporters can expect, the 20-year-old said: “I would say I’m a midfielder who likes to do a bit of everything, and someone who’s going to work hard and create things.
“[The fans can expect] someone who’s always going to work hard, someone who’s going to play with a smile on their face, and just hopefully someone who’s going to help this football club win games.”
Yearn will be eligible for Saturday’s fixture away to Dover Athletic.
