With a new management team at the helm, the York Road changing room has seen a number of players on the fringe of the squad move out in order to gain much needed game time.

Just prior to the Christmas break, an extension was made to Josh McMenemy’s loan with local Step 4 side Binfield. Josh will stay with the Moles until 24th January and – following a frustrating three-week break from action due to inclement weather – he was back in action at the heart of defence for the Isthmian League outfit as they forced a 1-1 draw at home to Bedfont Sports the day after Boxing Day.

The same day, Binfield’s Isthmian League South Central division rivals Ascot United gave a debut to teenager Quaye Vine in their own drawn fixture with Hartley Wintney. Quaye – who scored twice on senior debut for United in the Berks & Bucks Cup tie at Aldermaston in October before signing his first contract with the club – replaced his brother Lucias as a substitute with fifteen minutes remaining at The Racecourse Ground.

A third Academy graduate out on loan is Jadyn Dundas, (pictured below courtesy of DBeechPhotography) who has joined London-based Hendon FC. Jadyn made a happy debut for The Greens in a 4-1 win at Fareham but experienced the other side of the coin on 27th December as his new side suffered a home defeat in a feisty derby clash with Harrow Borough at Silver Jubilee Park.

The other Magpie ‘out and about’ is young Irish forward Noah Stewart. After making his third start of the season in the County Cup defeat to Reading, Noah joined a Hayes & Yeading side under the new management of successful former Ascot boss Jamie Tompkins. Noah made an impressive debut in victory over Metropolitan Police and has since made a further three starts, suffering just one defeat in his time at the SKYex so far, on penalty kicks to Burgess Hill in the Velocity Trophy.
