Quaye Vine has joined Ascot United on loan until the end of the season.
Vine becomes the fifth Magpie to temporarily spread their wings following what’s been a successful few months for Maidenhead United’s young talents on loan, with goals, awards and high praise for the Magpies’ future prospects. Let’s find out how they’re getting on.
We’ll begin with Josh McMenemy, who is on loan with Binfield for the remainder of the season. McMenemy has made 16 starts for the Moles. Encompassing six clean sheets and one assist, Josh earned himself the Player of the Month Award in February.
First team manager Ross Weatherstone said: “Over the course of the last two seasons, I’ve established a sound relationship with Dev, Aaron & Neil at Maidenhead United FC, with the aim to support in the playing development of Josh Mac.
“By the end of this season, Macca will have played 50 odd games for us at Binfield over that period, which demonstrates why I feel the timing and alignment regarding Macca’s playing development has worked so well for both clubs and the player. We’ve provided the right platform and given him the right coaching for him to succeed. Macca must also take credit, as he’s always trusted the process.
“Like many other young players over the last three seasons at Binfield, I see Macca as another one that will go on and ply his trade much higher up the non-league pyramid. It wouldn’t surprise me if he was playing football league games in years to come. On behalf of Binfield FC, I would like to thank all parties involved in making this such a success for everyone involved.”
In South East London, Noah Stewart found his place on the scoresheet with a vital winner for the Wings on his debut. Brought on as a substitute in the 61st minute against Whitehawk, Stewart found himself alone at the back post to slam home Troy Howard's bicycle kick assist.
Manager Ryan Maxwell has been immensely impressed with Noah so far, stating: “He has trained really well, he has been bright, and the boys have been impressed. He is a great character and is a great lad, so we are all delighted for him.”
Jadyn Dundas joined Hendon in December, and it didn’t take long for him to make his mark scoring his first goal in a 4-4 thriller against Raynes Park Vale – something which earned him the goal of the month accolade a few weeks later. Since then Dundas scored in a 2-1 win over Littlehampton Town in a Man of the Match performance, as well as the sealer in a 3-0 victory against Ascot United.
Club Secretary Jeremy Lawrence said: “Jadyn has been a tremendous asset to Hendon FC in his time here. He is very enthusiastic and works tirelessly during a match.
“When he reverts back to Maidenhead, we will miss him greatly. He is a credit to all at Maidenhead and his lovely parents.”
Corie Andrews joined Enfield Town on Saturday, 24th January, and soon found the net with an equaliser against Ebbsfleet United. Andrews has since provided two assists, both times setting up Sam Youngs to slam home first half strikes Horsham and Dover Athletic.
We wish all of our loanees the very best for the remainder of the season.
