Maidenhead United are delighted to reveal that our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning raised £2,191 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

This year was all the more special as it was our 10th anniversary of holding the annual event. Following this we are delighted to share that takes our fundraising total for the 10 events to an incredible £16,755!

Held at Braywick Sports and Recreation Ground between from 10am to 3pm on Friday, 18th September, and was hosted at Maidenhead Athletics Club.

Guests from all walks of life attended throughout the day, where they were welcomed with hot refreshments and a variety of savoury snacks and cake to accompany it.
The Maidenhead United FC Community Trust hosted a one-hour social walk, while Magpie MeetUps took place outside the Athletics Club allowing a friendly and relaxed environment for people to enjoy their drinks and nibbles.

Furthermore, GoodGym combined exercise and good deeds with a one-hour litter pick, while Maidenhead Athletics Club provided runners with some lunchtime laps.
Thanks to the facilities provided by Leisure Focus, there was also the annual walking football tournament, which this year saw Swindon take home the spoils following a dramatic extra time win against Abingdon. This year was also particularly special as we held our first-ever Women’s Walking Football Tournament - it was fantastic to see the women’s game represented alongside the men’s tournament. Our walking footballers were lucky enough to have students from Buckinghamshire New University providing free sports massages and injury advice.

A huge congratulations to all our winners:
