Massey Suspension Transferred to de Havilland
Posted on 4th December 2024
Following the sitting of an FA Regulatory Commission on Tuesday, 3rd December, the Magpies’ appeal against the second yellow card shown to Alan Massey in the match at York City last Saturday has been upheld.
The Commission found that the second yellow card recorded against Massey for an incident in the 50th minute of the game was a case of ‘Mistaken Identity’ and the yellow card has therefore been transferred instead to Will de Havilland for his involvement in this incident.
This means that Massey will now not have to face a one-match ban. As de Havilland was later cautioned in the 87th minute, the FA have instead given Will a one-match ban for receiving two cautions in the match.
