The Magpies welcome Solihull Moors to York Road this weekend as the league campaign approaches the halfway mark.

Both sides suffered 2-1 defeats to lower league opposition in last week's round of FA Trophy fixtures. Alan Devonshire's side slumped to Berkshire rivals Slough Town at Arbour Park, while the Moors were beaten by National League North outfit Radcliffe.

The Moors have had a somewhat disappointing campaign compared to their promotion chases of previous seasons. At the start of this week, they sat 12th in the National League on 28 points. United, on the other hand, will be looking to put the 6-2 defeat at York behind them and focus on the positives from a crucial 3-1 win over Braintree Town.

The two sides have already faced off in this year’s campaign, with our visitors winning 2-1 at home back in August. That said, United have already beaten Solihull at home in 2024 following last season’s 2-1 win through Tobi Sho-Silva and Sam Barratt.
