The Magpies look to continue their unbeaten run this weekend as Yeovil Town visit Berkshire for a Vanarama National League clash. 

 

Alan Devonshire’s side have found their footing in recent weeks, amassing vital points in the campaign as we enter the final third of the season. Last week’s away day double header saw a well-earned point at Hartlepool bettered by a remarkable 1-0 win over Oldham on Tuesday night. It continues an unbeaten February so far, which began with a 1-0 victory over Southend – the Magpies’ third straight league win at York Road in a record that stretches back to Boxing Day. 

 

This weekend’s visitors were also victorious on Tuesday night at home to Tamworth in what was their first win in ten games. Despite a positive start to the season, Yeovil look set for a mid-table finish after a poor run of form. Their record on the road is marginally better than at home, having picked up 22 points on their travels in 16 games. 

 

The Glovers do not have particularly fond memories of York Road in recent years. In their last three visits, Yeovil have only taken one point, with Maidenhead proving victorious on the other two occasions. They were, however, the better of the two sides at the reverse fixture in October, where Aaron Jarvis’ two goals helped the Glovers onto a 3-1 victory.
