Maidenhead United Football Club are looking to recruit a Volunteer Social Media Officer and Sports Psychologist to support MUWFC ahead of the 2026/27 season.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for football to gain valuable experience within a professional football environment.
Role Overview: Social Media Officer
Working closely with MUWFC staff, the successful applicant will oversee the management and growth of the MUFC Performance social media channels, helping to showcase player development, training activity, and matchday content.
The role will involve a mixture of in-person content capture and flexible remote working for posting, planning, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Managing MUFC Performance social media platforms
Creating and publishing engaging football-related content
Capturing training and matchday media where required
Supporting the promotion of player development and department activity
Working collaboratively with staff to maintain a professional online presence
What We’re Looking For
A strong interest in football and social media
Creativity and enthusiasm for digital content
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
Previous experience is welcome but not essential

Role Overview: Sports Psychologist
The role will see you work closely with players, coaches, and club staff to enhance mental skills, resilience, confidence, focus, motivation, and overall wellbeing. The successful candidate will help create a positive performance culture that supports both individual and team success.
Key Responsibilities
Provide mental performance support to first-team players.
Offer one-to-one consultations with players where appropriate.
Support players returning from injury by addressing psychological aspects of rehabilitation.
Assist coaching staff in understanding performance psychology principles.
What we're looking for
Degree (or working towards) in Psychology, Sport Psychology, Sports Science, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build trust and rapport with players and coaching staff.
Passion for football and athlete development.
