New Magpies | Emily and Poppy Join Ed's team

United have welcomed two new signings into the fray over the last week as Ed Jackson-Norris completed the signings of Emily McMaster and Poppy Whitburn. 

 

Emily joins of a dual registration from WSL side Tottenham Hotspur. Emily is a centre-back who captains Spurs Professional Game Academy side. She has joined on a dual registration from the London side and she made her MUWFC debut in the FAWNL match at Bridgwater United last Sunday afternoon. Emily was formerly in the Reading FC Academy. 

 

Making her first MUWFC appearance on the same day was fellow teenager Poppy Whitburn. Poppy has played most recently with AFC Dunstable in Tier 6 and she successfully lotted in from the bench on Sunday afternoon and again on Wednesday evening as United suffered first half injuries in both matches. Poppy scored a composed left footed finish on home debut on Wednesday night as United were narrowly defeated by high-flying Actonians in the Combined Counties League Women’s Cup.
