Maidenhead United’s Women’s Walking Football teams continued their encouraging progress with another strong round of fixtures last weekend.

Maidenhead Blacks kept their promotion push firmly on track with an impressive Round 2 showing. A dominant 3-0 win over Denham highlighted their attacking quality, before a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Hersham demonstrated defensive resilience.

The only narrow setback came against league leaders Bicester, with Maidenhead Blacks edged out 1-0 in a closely contested match. Sitting third on 16 points, the Magpies remain firmly in the mix and are building real momentum as the season progresses.

Meanwhile, Maidenhead Whites continue to develop in their first season together. While results didn’t quite fall their way this time, there were plenty of positives to take from the performances.

Maidenhead Whites recorded two clean sheets, created several chances with efforts on target, and produced determined displays against more established opposition. As the squad continues to learn and grow, strong foundations are being laid for the future.

Both sides will look to build on this progress in the coming rounds as the Women’s Walking Football programme continues to develop.
