United claimed a third clean sheet of the season and a second success on the road with a comprehensive victory at Crabble against ten-man Dover.

For a third consecutive game inside a week a Magpies match ended 11 vs 10, but this time it was the opposition who ended the game depleted after Roman Charles-Cook - cautioned in the first half for a needless late challenge on Jordi Van Stappershoef - saw red early in the second half for a second yellow card after grappling with a breaking Josh Coley.

A warm and pleasant afternoon in the Garden of England was made all the more enjoyable for the travelling contingent of supporters by a bright start by their side.

Maidenhead forced a number of set pieces in the Dover defensive third and it was no surprise that the opening goal came from a corner. Captain Coley's delivery went to the far post, where Remy Clerima rose to head the ball beyond Walker and give the Magpies a 28th-minute advantage.

Dover thereafter enjoyed a better period before the break but it was Maidenhead who came closest before the interval on the counter-attack through Mitchell-Lawson who threaded a ball across the area to Connor Hall, but Wilson-Braithwaite was well positioned to block the resulting shot.

Half-Time - Dover 0-1 Magpies

Mitchell-Lawson was booked following a foul on Ezenwanne in the 46th minute as the home side looked to exert some pressure after the break but within ten minutes of the restart Charles-Cook was ordered off and thereafter it was almost exclusively one-way traffic.

The inevitable second goal was somewhat gifted as Dover's own untidy play gifted Maidenhead a corner. From another Coley delivery Hall's glancing header wrong-footed Walker and crept into the net at near post.

The hosts to their credit were close to finding a way back into the game as Euan Williams nodding a gilt-edged opportunity against the crossbar, with Van Stappershoef pulling off a fine save as the loose ball was struck to this near post.

Wave after wave of Maidenhead pressure followed thereafter and with some more accurate finishing a third goal would have arrived well before Josh Umerah was put through on goal to finish with trademark accuracy in stoppage time.
