Maidenhead United made it four pre-season wins on the trot with success at step 3 Southern Leaguers Swindon Supermarine.

The Magpies opened the scoring in the opening minute of the game thanks to a stunner from new-signing Ruben Carvalho who let fly from long range. Carvalho had scored in injury time to win the game in midweek at Hanwell Town.

Supermarine may have got back into the game before United established daylight before the break. A Magpies trailist gave away possession and home favourite Harry Williams saw his shot saved by Craig Ross and the Magpies goalkeeper then had to be alert off his to clear an under hit back pass before Michael Fernandes got there.

United went two up just before the break when Carvalho finished first-time with his right foot after bright play from Joseph Ajose. There was almost a similarly dramatic start to the second half as had been seen in the first half as all inside the Webbswood Stadium rise to applaud a superb save by Ross. The Maidenhead keeper also denied Olly Mehew and Fernandes but the last word went to the National League visitors.

Ajose had the ball in the net after a fine through pass from Nathan Ferguson, however the flag was up. Teenager Jamie Davies rounded off the scoring from outside of the box.
