It is the final York Road football before the festive starts in earnest this evening as Maidenhead United Women start their defence of the Combined Counties League Women’s Cup tonight against Actonians.

United crowned a very pleasing 2023/24 campaign with silverware in manager Ed Jackson-Norris’s first full season in charge with victory over Fulham in the final at Burnham in May, coming from behind to defeat The Cottagers on penalties. Tonight they face FAWNL Division 1 South East high-flyers Actonians who are just a point off the lead of that division.

Manager Ed Jackson-Norris said: “It will be another good test against a strong Tier 4 side but we’re confident of retaining our title in style this season!”.

Admission is FREE for all MUFC Gold Members on presentation of the card. Admission otherwise is £5 for adults, £2 concessions and you can purchase admission at the York Road gate using either card or cash. A complimentary team sheet is available for all spectators.
