United Women Cruise In County Cups
Posted on 24th October 2024
It was goals galore in a winning weekend for Maidenhead United Women First and Development teams as they started their quest for Berks & Bucks silverware.
United’s First team entertained Tier 6 outfit Milton United at Bisham Abbey and triumphed with an emphatic 13-1 margin in the BBFA Senior Cup. Hat-tricks from forwards Macey-Nikiah Walters, Izzy Stockton and Tia Johnson did the damage whilst long-serving midfielder Amy Saunders weighed in with a goal, the scoring completed by Amelie Mayani, Emily Norfolk and an unfortunate Milton own goal.
The Magpies will now travel to Beaconsfield Town in the last eight on Sunday, 17th November.
In the BBFA Trophy, Maidenhead’s Development team bossed their home tie with Aylesbury United at Cox Green Leisure Centre.
Ryan Robinson’s team scored three in each half – Liberty Dieppe scoring twice before Lauren Evans added the third. In the second half Amber Saunders and Jazz King scored before Dieppe completed her hattrick.
The Development team will travel to Holmer Green in the quarter-finals on Sunday 17th November.
