Our flourishing Walking Football Women enjoyed a excellent day at the Bracknell Town Women’s Walking Football tournament on Saturday 13th July. Narrowly beaten in their first game against Bracknell Reds - a team made up of England team players – United hit back to defeat Fleet by two goals to nil and then beat Basingstoke in their final game. Into the semi-final play-off against ‘X Saints’ – former Southampton Ladies players – United met their match and were pitted against Eastleigh in the third-place play-off with Lourdes winning goal clinching the bronze medals!

On Monday this week there was a friendly against Slough Town’s brand new Women’s Walking Football team, and a good competitive match with the sides sharing players to ensure a balanced game ended in an enjoyable 1-1 draw.
