Maidenhead United are delighted to welcome the return of young midfielder Joshua Johnson.
Joshua spent two loan spells with the club during the 2024/25 season as he played 22 time during the National League campaign, and a further appearance in the National League Cup.

His only United goal came in early April of 2025 as he broke free in the area and slotted home late on against Tamworth, making it 3-1 on the day.
After returning to York Road, under Ryan Peters this time, our manager said: “I’m really excited to have acquired Joshua.

“His attributes are frightening and will hopefully bring a different dimension to our play this season. Another player who will drive standards with performances.”

Joshua Johnson spoke upon his return to Maidenhead United: “It feels good. This club, a very family club, welcomed me very well. When I was last here, I was only on loan, so it’s good to be back permanently.”

The return was an easy decision for Joshua: “When I came here, I got the opportunity to play, and it gave me a chance to show my quality and ability. It was good when I was here, so it felt like it was a good opportunity to come back.”
As he looks ahead to the 2026/27 season kicking off, Joshua said he was most looking forward to: “Just getting to play again, really. Playing against the teams at this level and just getting more minutes in. Then, also getting to meet the new guys and the old ones I’ve already seen, and get used to them being my teammates.”

Joshua is avaialble to sponsor for the 2026/27 season. Please contact commercial@maidenheadunitedfc.org to find out more.
