The Wellbeing Support Service hosted an inspiring ‘Uplift Your Mood’ event earlier this month, blending crafts, mindfulness, and a touch of neuroscience! 
 
Participants channelled their creativity by decorating what we called the ‘I Can Can’. Inside the can, they placed positive affirmations about themselves. Why? Because it is all too easy to get caught up in negative self-talk. How often do we pause to speak kindly to ourselves and recognize our strengths? 
 
Bringing the ‘I Can Can’ home allows attendees to keep adding affirmations and, during difficult times, pick a card to remind themselves of their positive qualities. 
 
One attendee commented: “What a wonderful session! The Wellbeing Support Service Team created a safe and comfortable place to relax and focus on the positives - thank you!”
