Maidenhead United is delighted to announce that Wolverhampton Wanderers will be visiting York Road for a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, 21st July.
Wolves is formerly the home of ex-Magpie Maximilian Kilman, who departed United in 2018 before embarking on a six-year spell with the Black Country club. Helping Wolves U23s into the top tier of Premier League Reserves football in his first season, Kilman would later became club captain of the men’s first team, and was one of two outfield players to feature in all 3,420 minutes in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign before departing for West Ham United.
Wolves, who return to the EFL Championship for the 2026/27 season after eight years in the Premier League, will visit York Road as part of their pre-season preparations. It’ll be the third of five currently announced fixtures for the Magpies in a schedule which is as follows:
Tuesday, 14th July – Holyport (A) - 7:45pm*
Saturday, 18th July – Southampton U21 (H) - 3pm*
Tuesday, 21st July – Wolverhampton Wanderers – 7:45pm*
Saturday, 25th July – Wimborne Town (A) - 3pm*
Saturday, 1st August – Brackley Town (A) - 3pm
