INCLUSIVITY

Maidenhead United is proud to celebrate inclusivity and diversity, and a wonderful March 2025 for our women's teams is testament to that belief.

Over consecutive weekends, our Women's First and Development teams won their respective Berks and Bucks County Cup finals. On Sunday, 16th March, MUWFC beat Newport Pagnell Town to secure their first ever County Cup trophy, with Ed Jackson-Norris' side earing the silverware in a 3-1 win at Holloways Park.
Exactly a week later, the Development side completed the double at the same venue in a stunning 14-0 victory over Burghfield.
It capped off a fantastic March for our women's teams - one in which we also announced a partnership with Her Game Too just before International Women's Day 2025.

Her Game Too is a passionate movement dedicated to tackling sexism and promoting gender equality within the world of sport and they currently work with 77 out of the 92 Premier League and EFL clubs, as well as a host of grassroots and amateur sides.

Becoming an ambassador club means that Maidenhead United Women will support the cause by raising awareness, educating and creating a safer environment for women and girls in football.
While we will always strive to promote inclusivity, it takes action across society to eliminate racism and discrimination.

Racism and discrimination can have a huge impact on your mental health. Experiencing discrimination regularly in your everyday life or even one sudden moment can really take its toll on how you feel. If you’re struggling with your mental wellbeing, you can find tailored support for what you're going through here

If you're struggling to move forward or are feeling suicidal because of abuse you're facing you can speak to CALM in confidence. Find out more about CALM's helpline here

If you learnt about racism at school, it’s likely it centred around name calling and obvious acts of aggression based on a person’s race, ethnicity or skin colour, but that’s only one aspect. If you’ve experienced racism, you’ll know it’s not as simple as that. You might find that many people don’t even realise that what they’re doing or saying is racist, which can be even more frustrating. There is hope, the world is changing, people are educating themselves but that doesn’t make experiencing racism any easier.
Our partnership with CALM would not be possible without the fantastic support of our CALM Partners. One of our partners, myHRdept, sat down with us to discuss the importance of inclusivity and mental health wellbeing in the workplace.
