We have been working hard to find a solution which will support our ambition for growth. This has seen us work closely with the council and get out and about in the community at workshops and roadshows to hear from residents about what is important to them. This feedback has helped to shape our proposals. The new ground would be:
Included as part of wider improvements to Braywick Park and the nature reserve
5,000-capacity football league compliant ground with modern fan and player facilities
Smaller footprint and height, with reduced visual impact from the front of Braywick
Integrated into the surrounding environment to create a welcoming, natural aesthetic
Following clear design principles especially around biodiversity, sustainability and visual impact
Connected to existing infrastructure using enhanced pathways and access routes
Adjacent to an expanded Braywick Nature Reserve
Owned in trust so it is protected for generations to come
Over the past few months, we’ve held four ground design workshops focused on key areas; Ground Design, Fan Experience, Enhancements to Braywick Park, and Biodiversity.
We presented at an open meeting of local nature group Wild Maidenhead, engaged hundreds of residents through a roadshow at Braywick Leisure Centre, as well encouraged feedback through social media and our website.
All of this has allowed the community to review design ideas, discuss emerging concepts with the club and professional advisors, and share feedback that have continued to inform our proposals.
We are delighted that the overwhelming response has been supportive and collaborative. This work has given us some clear design principles, and we are pleased that our concept designs are now available to view, with further images to be released as plans develop.
