JOSH POPOOLA 

 

Josh Popoola joined Maidenhead after a successful trial period during the summer of 2025. The versatile, young talent spent time at Watford and Bournemouth during his youth career before seeking senior football in the National League system. Popoola spent time at Hitchin Town and Cheshunt before making a move to link up with Stockport County’s Academy. Upon arrival, he sought senior football again going on loan Spennymoor Town, Chorley and Warrington featuring 16 times across these temporary spells. He then made a move to Tonbridge Angels where he appeared six time before enjoying a productive stay at Buxton FC for the 2024/25 season – playing 37 times, scoring 4 and assisting 8.
