Matty began his career in the academy setup at Ebbsfleet United and made a handful of cameos with the Fleet before finding comfort with Wingate and Finchley. He spent four years with the Blues, time which saw him transition into more of a holding midfielder and make 119 appearances, with an impressive eight goals in his final full season in North London. Most recently Matty’s midfield presence was felt in Hemel Hempstead where had played for roughly 18 months, making 64 league appearances. He was a key part of the squad that saw the Tudors push into the play-off positions last campaign, winning numerous Man of the Match awards along the way.
