Matt Robinson joined the Magpies in 2025 as part of further reinforcements ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. Robinson began his career in the youth system at Leicester City before making a move to Luton Town, where he'd spend the next four years. While at Luton, Robinson enjoyed promotion to League Two - kickstarting their rise through the Football Leagues. Following the promotion, Robinson had loan spells Kidderminster Harriers, Grimsby Town and Woking. Following his spell at the Hatters, Robinson spent seven years at Dagenham and Redbridge making 234 appearances and scoring 21 goals, during his time he also received a call-up for England C. He then joined Woking where he would head out to Boreham Wood and Braintree Town on loan. Alongside, a playing career Robinson is an MC making music under the name Kamakaze. His song "Last Night", featuring Massappeals, was also added to the FIFA 20 soundtrack, leading to Kamakaze becoming the first person to have a song on FIFA's soundtrack while also previously featuring as a footballer.
