MUFC PERFORMANCE
MUFC Performance is a new programme that will drive the club’s coaching and player development approach for the future, enabling us to attract, retain and develop more of our own players. The programme will be a bridge between our juniors section at grassroots and our academy and men's and women's first team sides.
For the 2024/25 season, MUFC Performance will offer a programme for boys in the under 10, 11 and 12 age groups and for girls at under 10. All sides will play in the Junior Premier League (JPL) - an organsiation that prides itself on pushing the professionalism within grassroots football and enhancing the quality of experiences of football for all of its participants. It is the ambition of the club that the provision will grow and additional age groups will be added for the 2025/26 season.
MUFC Performance will embody the club's wider philosophy and purpose of putting people first, ensuring our community stays connected, meaning we will offer a player development environment designed to nurture talent and develop the skills which will support achievement on and off the pitch. To this end, the Performance programme will not only consist of team and individual training, but will also include a 'wider programme' syllabus that will educate participants in areas such as; performance analysis, nutrition, goal setting, sleep etc. This will ensure that even if our performance centres are the height of our participants lifetime football journey, they will able to take with them lessons they are able to use for the rest of their lives.
MUFC Performance will be overseen by our 4 team managers, UEFA A Licence coaches Keith Ryan and Ed Jackson-Norris, who are our Head of Boys and Head of Girls Performance respectively and Maidenhead United's Head of Operations Mark Nisbet.
