NEW: MAGPIE MEETUPS
A new befriending service from Maidenhead United FC Community Trust.
Maidenhead United FC Community Trust is excited to introduce Magpie Meet Ups, our brand‑new befriending initiative proudly supported by the Heathrow Community Trust.
Magpie Meet Ups brings local people together for friendly conversation, companionship, and community connection. The service is designed especially for those who may feel isolated or would simply enjoy meeting new people in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Small volunteer‑led groups will meet regularly at local venues, with two volunteers supporting up to eight participants creating a friendly, supportive environment where everyone is valued. Each session offers the chance to chat, build friendships, and get involved in new community activities, if desired.
This project builds on our wider wellbeing work and reflects our commitment to helping people feel connected, valued, and supported.
We currently have three groups running across the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, with more planned as the project grows.
If you would like to join a group — or volunteer to help run one — we would love to hear from you.
