KANE FERDINAND
NUMBER: 10
POSITION: Midfielder
DATE OF BIRTH: 07/10/1992
Ferdinand joined United in June 2021, making him one of the longest serving players in the current squad. Kane was awarded the Manager's Player of the Season by Alan Devonshire in 2022/23. He came through the ranks at Southend United and made his debut in 2011, at just 19 years old in the EFL League Two against Oxford United. The following season he played 45 times, scoring seven and helping The Shrimpers reach the League Two play-offs. Those performances earned him a move to Peterborough United where he made 33 EFL Championship appearances. His career would then see him take loan spells at Northampton Town, Luton Town and Cheltenham Town. As his time at Peterborough drew to a close, he moved to Dagenham and Redbridge where he'd stay for just short of a season and play 15 times. Ferdinand followed this with a move to East Thurrock United, a short but successful stint that earned him a move to Woking. He spent five years in Surrey collating 162 appearances and 15 goals, including earning them promotion back to the National League in 2019.
