SAM BARRATT
NUMBER: 25
POSITION: Midfielder
DATE OF BIRTH: 25/08/1995
Sam joined the Magpies, for a third time, on a permanent deal in December 2023 from Barnet after a loan spell from the Bees earlier in the season. Having started his career in Berkshire at Woodley Town and Bracknell Town, Barratt joined Maidenhead at just 19 years old. During the first four seasons he spent at the club, Sam made 97 appearances, scoring 12 times and was part of the side that achieved promotion to the National League. During his first stint, Barratt also earned himself two caps for England C. He left in 2018 to join Southend United on a professional deal, unfortunately Barratt only managed 10 games due to a knee injury. In 2020, he returned to the Magpies for a spell which would last three years in which he'd tot up another 83 games and 23 goals. Barratt then joined Barnet for the 2023/24 season before rejoining United in November 2023 on an initial loan that would eventually turn permanent.
