UNITED AS ONE
Another successful year on behalf of the Premier League Primary Stars and Maidenhead United.
Lots have happened over the course of the academic year. Significantly the Premier League Trophy was being held at Maidenhead United FC’s York RD Stadium early into the academic year, in October where we had several PLPS Girls attend a session on the pitch, play small-sided games, and even have their own photos with the trophy.

The PLPS team has seen well over 1500+ children per week in their interventions in Maths and English, as well as PSHE and leading workshops across the curriculum.

Lead CCO Coach Warren said this about the workshops “Organising workshops for the children allows them to engage and learn in different ways. The workshops bring a more hands-on approach to the pupils learning and provide different styles of learning for all children to master and can share their knowledge, and increase their confidence and self-esteem whilst having the opportunity to interact with peers, develop friendships and contribute to social and emotional growth.”

We have been very successful with our KS2 Girls' football teams providing them the opportunity to go and play for teams outside of school and carry those skills already learned and build upon the teamwork and communication which has been important over the last few terms.

We are already looking to build further connections with external companies to support our delivery, including Non-Curriculum Days, visits to the Library, and introducing Meet and Greet with the Players of Maidenhead United FC and Maidenhead United Women’s FC.
