Maidenhead United FC grows partnership with JJ Rhatigan by adding themselves, Smedvig and HUB to our CALM partners.
JJ Rhatigan spoke on the expansion of our partnership:
“JJ Rhatigan is a leading main contractor at the forefront of the construction industry for over 70 years, combining speed and quality across a diverse range of capabilities.
We deliver high-quality, sustainable results building for a better future in the UK and Ireland.
We are currently building One Maidenhead, a mixed-use residential development comprising 429 new homes, 6 commercial units, a new car park, and a significant area of landscaped public realm.
We have been working with MUFC since breaking ground in Maidenhead and it was immediately clear to us what an important pillar of the community they are.
Through the many initiatives we have worked on together, our relationship has grown into the partnership it is today.
From sponsoring match days and hi-vis vests, holding quiz nights, collaborating with local charities, and fixing structures around the grounds, our partnership continues to go from strength to strength.
The Football Club has welcomed us into the community with great enthusiasm and it has been a pleasure working with such a dedicated, passionate group of people.
We are hugely looking forward to the coming season and are proud to continue our partnership as CALM Sponsors.”
HUB and Smedvig expressed their delight at supporting our CALM partnership:
“HUB and Smedvig are very proud to be supporting this important initiative in Maidenhead, focused on making a positive difference to all members of the local community.
Partnering with CALM, Maidenhead United FC and the other sponsors is a great way to reinforce our commitment to the town as we continue to deliver new homes, retail, and office space through our One Maidenhead project.”
Sian Lancaster, Commercial Partnership Manager at Maidenhead United, added:
"At Maidenhead United our ethos is to be at the heart of the community, to champion wellbeing for everyone in our community, keeping our fans, their families and friends connected. Our new message this year – United as ONE and JJ Rhatigan & HUB have certainly championed this message.
JJ Rhatigan & HUB since they first arrived in Maidenhead over two years ago, quickly identified areas of the community to be involved with one being the Football Cub and have supported us through a variety of initiatives, whether that is enabling us to provide a safe environment on match days, to helping us deliver schemes to school children or raising money for local valuable charities including Maidenhead United in the Community.
Continuing to work with JJ Rhatigan, HUB & Smedvig with the CALM Partnership allows us to make an even more positive difference to all members of our community.
We are excited at the forthcoming months ahead as we work together with JJ Rhatigan, HUB and Smedvig, along with the other 7 other CALM partners to create awareness of the charity CALM within the local community in running on-going campaigns and activities to support the prevention of suicide, particularly amongst men within our community. These activities along with our other community initiatives will ensure we continue to make a make a positive difference to all members of our community ensuring they feel connected to one another. No one should feel alone and we are thankful to JJ Rhatigan, HUB and Smedvig sharing the same values as us."
