Maidenhead United FC is delighted to continue working with Maidenhead Advertiser and myHRdept for 2023/24.
Jeremy Spooner, CEO of Baylis Community Media CIC, said:
"We are delighted to once again be a sponsor of Maidenhead United Football Club, which like us is an organisation right at the heart of the community.
As a sponsor, we will be helping the club to do even more to help the community through its commercial deal with CALM, made possible by the club’s sponsors working together to support this wonderful initiative.
I wish Maidenhead United every success on and off the field."
Bill Larke, Director at myHRdept, expressed:
“We’re delighted to support Maidenhead United for a second year and proud to be part of the CALM initiative.
myHRdept is a local company providing top-quality boutique HR and payroll services to employers, many of whom are also local to us.
Through our affiliation with the Magpies, we can continue to actively support the many worthwhile initiatives run by MUFC and its wonderful staff and volunteers. Oh, and COME ON YOU MAGPIES!!”
(myHRdept, based in Marlow, employs 16 HR staff and, through an association with JC Payroll, provides payroll services via a team of 21 payroll professionals based in Newbury. Together the two organisations provide outsourced payroll and HR for employers under a single service contract.)"
Sian Lancaster, Commercial Partnership Manager at Maidenhead United, spoke on the second day of our CALM partner announcements:
"Expanding their involvement The Maidenhead Advertiser and My HR dept are also supporting the CALM Partnership, which allows us to make an even more positive difference to all members of our community.
We are excited about the forthcoming months ahead as we work together with Maidenhead Advertiser and MyHR dept, along with the other 8 other CALM partners to create awareness of the charity CALM within the local community in running ongoing campaigns and activities to support the prevention of suicide, particularly amongst men within our community.
These activities along with our other community initiatives will ensure we continue to make a positive difference to all members of our community ensuring they feel connected to one another.
No one should feel alone and we are thankful to Maidenhead Advertiser and MyHR dept sharing the same values as us."
CALM stands together with everyone who is struggling with life, no matter who they are, where they are from or what they are going through. They do it through their life-saving services, national campaigns, and by building communities. Anyone can feel suicidal.
So CALM is there for everyone. From advice on their website about issues people might be facing; through to free, confidential chats with their helpline staff, online or on the phone, they are here for anyone who’s struggling, every single day of the year. No matter what.
Their helpline and webchat are open 365 days a year, offering practical suggestions for all of life’s problems - whether that’s anxiety, relationship concerns, health worries, money worries, or suicidal thoughts. Their staff answers a call every 59 seconds - they listen, talk, and help people struggling with life to make a plan so they can begin to look to the future.
