MAIDENHEAD UNITED FC ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF MUFC PERFORMANCE FOR 2024/25 SEASON

Maidenhead United Football Club is pleased to announce the launch of MUFC Performance, a new programme that will drive the club’s coaching and player development approach for the future, enabling us to attract, retain and develop more of our own players.
MUFC Performance will extend Maidenhead United’s junior/youth football provision by providing a professionally led performance pathway between our established MUFC Juniors and MUFC Academy programmes and, potentially, our men’s and women’s first team squads.
MUFC Performance is for boys and girls aged 7 to 16, with all age groups competing in the Junior Premier League (JPL). For the 2024/25 season, MUFC Performance will offer a programme for boys at under 10, 11, 12 & 16 and for girls at under 10, 12 & 13. Additional age groups will be added for the 2025/26 season.
MUFC Performance will embody the club's wider philosophy and purpose of putting people first, ensuring our community stays connected, meaning we will offer a player development environment designed to nurture talent and develop the skills which will support achievement on and off the pitch.
The provision of quality of coaching sits at the core of this approach, with all sessions being delivered by UEFA qualified coaches, and teams managed by coaches who are members of the FA Licenced Coach Club.
Our focus will be to provide a holistic approach to player development incorporating:
o Technical, tactical and physical development framework.
o Individual player development plans.
o Player and match analysis sessions.
o Stretch and challenge opportunities for high performing players.
o Fitness, strength & conditioning support.
o Wellbeing development support including nutrition, psychology, emotional resilience and healthy lifestyles.
o Goalkeeping provision, aligned to the wider framework, will be provided within the practical training hours.
MUFC Performance players will train twice a week and play competitive fixtures in the JPL at weekends.
Entry into the MUFC Performance programme will be selective and trials for the U10, U11 & U12 boys as well as the U10, U12 and U13 girls will be held during the last week of April and first week of May 2024 (dates to be confirmed).
