Maidenhead United Performance: Trial dates announced

Maidenhead United Football Club is pleased to confirm the trial dates for U10, U11, & U12 Boys and U10, U12 & U13 MUFC Performance squads for the 2024/season.
MUFC Performance is a selective programme that will provide a player development environment designed to nurture talent and develop the skills which support player achievement on and off the pitch.
For the 2024/25 season, we will select a MUFC Performance squad of 12 players for the U10 Boys & Girls, 15 Players for U11, 12 Boys & U12 Girls, and 18 for U13 Girls. MUFC Performance players will be required to train twice weekly and be available to play in Junior Premier League (JPL) fixtures on Saturdays.
Teams managers will be members of the FA Licenced Coach Club and training sessions will be delivered by UEFA qualified coaches. The training programme will incorporate:
A technical, tactical, and physical development framework.
Individual player development plans.
Player and match analysis sessions.
Stretch and challenge opportunities for high-performing players.
Fitness, strength & conditioning support.
Wellbeing development support including nutrition, psychology, emotional resilience, and healthy lifestyles.
Selection trials for all age groups will be held in two stages in two stages initial open trials which will be taking place on:
7-8.30pm on Thursday 25 April at Bisham Abbey Astroturf for U10, U12 & U13 Girls.
6-7.30pm on Monday 29th April at Cox Green Leisure Centre Astroturf for U10 Boys.
6-7.30pm on Wednesday 1st May at Cox Green Leisure Centre Astroturf for U11 & U12 Boys.
We will Subsequently invite a smaller cohort of players to attend a second trial on either Thursday 2nd May for U10, U12 & U13 Girls or Thursday 9th May for U10, U11 & U12 Boys. These trials will take place between 7pm and 8.30pm at Bisham Abbey. Final selections will be made for the MUFC Performance squads will be made following the second trials.
We do expect there to be significant competition for places for the MUFC Performance squads however please be assured our objective for the trial days is to provide all players with a positive and enjoyable experience.
Our objective is also to offer all participants within the trials access to a development pathway, meaning that players not selected for the MUFC Performance squad will all be offered alternative football opportunities within Maidenhead United. This will include invitations to attend either MUFC Performance’s weekly Advanced or Development training sessions and/or the opportunity to join one of our Maidenhead United FC Juniors teams.
