Russell Penn’s one and only managerial job has been for the Harriers. Penn spent a good chunk of his playing career at Kidderminster with over 160 appearances across two spells, he also had lengthy tenures at Burton Albion, Cheltenham Town, and York City. 
 
Penn took over as manager initially on an interim basis in November 2019 and again as an interim in February 2020. He was appointed on a permanent basis ahead of the 2020/21 season. As well as promotion back to the National League last season, Penn is also known for managing Kidderminster to an FA Cup upset against Reading as well as taking the lead against West Ham United in the FA Cup Fourth Round. 
 
Players to watch 
Ashley Hemmings – Winger – The main man for Kidderminster during their promotion success last season, Ashley Hemmings scored 14 goals and played over 4,000 minutes for the Harriers. While he hasn’t scored yet, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers player has featured regularly and will want to get his first of the season on Monday. 
 
Krystian Pearce – Defender – A mainstay in the Kidderminster defence, experienced defender Krystian Pearce has had quite the career playing for thirteen different sides. The 33-year-old and current Barbadian international played 42 games last season for Kidderminster and is a key member of the squad. 
 
Last time out 
Maidenhead United have never played Kidderminster Harriers. 
 
How to get there 
Aggborough station is located 0.5 miles from Kidderminster train station and is roughly a ten-minute walk. Kidderminster train station serves trains from Birmingham Moor Street. 
For those driving, there is limited parking available at the ground which costs £7.50. There is also parking available at the nearby Severn Valley Railway Station (DY10 1QX).
