UNITED AS ONE
The Magpies shared the points with Bromley at York Road as they drew 0-0 in the Vanarama National League.
Maidenhead played out a 0-0 draw with high-flying Bromley in the first game at York Road in 2024. Alan Devonshire made 3 changes from the side who lost to Wealdstone on boxing day, as Alan Massey, Kevin Lokko, and Chanka Zimba all came into the starting lineup.

The first chance of the game came from the hosts, as Nathaniel-George drove into the box before cutting back to Kane Ferdinand, whose driven effort deflected wide for a corner.

The Magpies thought they took the lead from the resulting corner, but the linesman's flag was raised after a goalmouth scramble which saw the ball land in the back of the net.

With 5 minutes left of the half, Maidenhead were awarded a free kick from distance. Sam Barratt stepped up to take, and his effort curled just wide of the Bromley goal.

Bromley had a great chance just minutes later, after capitalising on a defensive error, Passley found himself in space down the wing, but his cross was headed wide by Michael Cheek.

HALF TIME - Maidenhead United 0 - 0 Bromley

10 minutes into the second half, Bromley had 2 great chances to open the scoring. Myles Weston floated a ball towards Michael Cheek, but Kevin Lokko did well to get there ahead of the striker. Seconds later, Weston played another ball in, this time falling to Sam Woods, whose effort came back off the post.

Casey Pettit forced Grant Smith into a save, as his effort from distance was heading into the bottom right corner before being pushed behind by the Bromley goalkeeper.

With just under 15 minutes left to play, Zico Asare drove down the right wing to the byline, and cut the ball back to Sam Barratt whose scuffed effort found McCoulsky, but the striker couldn’t steer the ball into the back of the net.

Shawn McCoulsky had a golden chance to give the Magpies the lead late on, as he was played through one-on-one by Sam Barratt, but he smashed his shot into the advertising board just behind the goal.

Minutes later, Bromley fans behind the goal thought they had taken the lead from a corner, but Alan Massey got back and spectacularly cleared the header off the line.

Maidenhead had another great chance in stoppage time to take the lead, as Nathaniel-George floated a ball to the back post, but Sam Barratt could only head wide of the post.
