UNITED AS ONE
Reece Brown summed up the action from a goalless draw at York Road.
The points were shared at York Road, as Maidenhead drew 0-0 with National League South playoff winners Oxford City.

Alan Devonshire made 2 changes from his side that beat Dagenham 1-0 last weekend. Zico Asare returned to the lineup in place of Remy Clerima, and new signing Chanka Zimba started in place of Shawn McCoulsky.

The first chance of the game came through a free kick from the edge of the area for the Magpies, but Charlee Adams fired into the Oxford City wall.

On the ten-minute mark, Josh Ashby had an opening on the edge of the box but dragged his left-footed effort wide of Craig Ross’ goal.

Maidenhead almost opened the scoring before 20 minutes, but Jayden Mitchell-Lawson had his shot flick off the defender and then pushed further away by City goalkeeper Chris Haigh.

Just a few minutes later, Mitchell-Lawson was denied by Haigh again, who tipped the winger's curling effort away from goal.

After a well worked counter-attack, the ball found Chanka Zimba inside the 6 yard box, but his effort was well saved again by Haigh.

Craig Ross was finally called into action in the latter stage of the half, as he got down to his left to save Josh Parker's long range attempt.

Mitchell-Lawson found himself in space on the edge of the Oxford City area once again, but his powerful strike just went over the bar.

HALF TIME - Maidenhead United 0 - 0 Oxford City

The first chance of the half fell to the hosts, as Charlee Adams attempted to curl a shot into the far corner, but he put just too much on it.

Nya Kirby tried to catch Craig Ross out just after the hour mark, but his long range attempt was caught comfortably by the goalkeeper.

With 15 minutes left of the game, Kevin Lokko had two chances in the Oxford City box, but both efforts were blocked well by the visitors.

Right at the death, Oxford City had the chance to take all 3 points with a free kick just outside the area, but it was fired straight into the wall.
