UNITED AS ONE 
 
The first chance of the game fell to the Magpies just after the 15-minute mark, as the ball found Casey Pettit on the edge of the box, but his low effort was blocked off the line by a defender. 
 
The visitors almost opened the scoring shortly after, as Amalazor drove down the right wing before cutting onto his left foot, and dragging a shot wide of Craig Ross’ goal. 
 
The Robins had another great chance to make it 1-0 before halftime, as Craig Ross had to react quickly to prevent a Lewis Banks header from beating him at close range. 
 
Craig Ross was called into action again not long after, as he got down well at his near post to prevent Gerald Sitholes shot from sneaking in. 
 
HALF TIME - Maidenhead United 0 - 0 Altrincham 
 
On the hour mark, the first real chance of the second half fell Maidenhead’s way, as Jayden Mitchell-Lawson's corner almost crept in at the back post, but Ethan Ross did well to tip it over the bar. 
 
Minutes later, there was another great chance for the Magpies, as Sam Beckwith was invited to shoot on the edge of the box, but the full backs shot sailed just wide of the goal. 
 
Despite the hosts being on top throughout the second half, Altrincham took the lead through a long range strike from Chris Conn-Clarke which found its way into the top left corner. 
 
Maidenhead almost had an equaliser, as they countered quickly from an Altrincham corner, but Mitchell-Lawson couldn’t hit the target with his effort.
