UNITED AS ONE

Maidenhead United Walking Football Women are building up to their first-ever game…..and they are looking for players to join them on their journey!

Having established a weekly session at Braywick Leisure Centre over a year ago, the Maidenhead United In The Community Women’s Walking Football now meets twice a week – in The Cage at York Road on Monday nights 8pm to 9pm and at Braywick 12:30pm to 1:30pm. Many of the players had never kicked a ball before becoming hooked on the camaraderie and fitness benefits of Walking Football.

The participation has grown to the extent that for the first time, MUFC Walking Football will field a women’s team in the Thames Valley Walking Football League on 3rd March, with a tournament to be hosted at Fulham FC training ground Motspur Park to follow later in the month. All TVWFL matches take place at Bisham Abbey.

Players of all abilities - particularly newcomers - are welcome to join the sessions, which are run by MUWFC First Team player Simone O’Brien in a friendly, sociable environment with a focus on fun.

Your first session will be FREE and you can contact Simone to book a session or to ask for more details via simone@maidenheadunitedfc-community.org.
