World Mental Health Day 2023
Posted on 10th October 2023
This World Mental Health Day we would like to highlight our relationship with CALM and share the importance of their messaging.
Back in the Summer, we were delighted to reveal the design of our 2023/24 kit, supplied by new technical partner Spanish sportswear brand Kelme. For the first time, the same design worn by every team representing the Club.
The Club’s partnership with CALM sees the charity featured not just on the men’s first team kit but also on every team representing Maidenhead United, including the Women’s, Academy, U16, Futsal, Walking Football, and all levels of youth football, this same design and sponsor creating a strong identity across the club and endorses our message of United as ONE.
With thanks to our valued CALM Partners:
G&L Healthcare Advisors, Origin Global, Wilson Partners, The Maidenhead Advertiser, JJ Rhatigan, HUB, SMEDVIG, Fast Lane, The Shanly Foundation, myHRdept, and Kensington Mortgage Company.
CALM stands together with everyone who is struggling with life, no matter who they are, where they are from or what they are going through. They do it through their life-saving services, national campaigns, and by building communities. Anyone can feel suicidal.
So CALM is there for everyone. From advice on their website about issues people might be facing; through to free, confidential chats with their helpline staff, online or on the phone, they are here for anyone who’s struggling, every single day of the year. No matter what.
Their helpline and webchat are open 365 days a year, offering practical suggestions for all of life’s problems - whether that’s anxiety, relationship concerns, health worries, money worries, or suicidal thoughts. Their staff answers a call every 59 seconds - they listen, talk, and help people struggling with life to make a plan so they can begin to look to the future.
